Open Water

Start your underwater adventure and learn to dive in the tropical waters of Maumere Bay! The SSI Open Water course will make you an autonomous and responsible diver, at your own pace and in a good mood. This certification is valid for life, is worldwide recognized and allows you to dive accompanied by a buddy up to 18 meters.

During the 3 days of the Open Water training, you will alternate theoretical sessions, exercises in shallow waters and dives with an experienced instructor, which will allow you to become a confident and responsible diver.

Between its shallow reefs for beginners and its magnificent sites for your last dives, Maumere offers ideal conditions for learning how to dive. You will do a total of 6 dives during your training. The first 2 days are dedicated to the practice and repetition of basic and safety exercises, managing your buoyancy, as well as the theoretical part of the course. You will also discover diving sites and their marine life. On the third day, you will embark on 2 dives in Maumere Bay, including the famous dive site “The Crack” (possibility of doing an additional dive on the last day).
